New Work

The instruments here are new work, new ideas and commissions. Some might be for sale. The instruments in the upper gallery are for sale and available, those in the lower gallery are commissions or have otherwise found a new home.


The first five pics in the top gallery are of the second of the D’Aqusito inspired Art-Deco mandolins. This one of Sitka spruce and Tasmanian Blackheart sassafras with a  ziricote fretboard. Binding is black and white ABS, with a cast Allen tailpiece and Schaller tuners. 13 7/8”/35.2cm  scale and a 1 3/16”/30mm nut. The second group of photos are of a 16.5”/42cm  scale mandola (a tenor mandola in Europe) for a CGda tuning. European spruce and Australian Blackwood. Black ABS binding , a cast tailpiece and Rubner tuners. Inspired by a Lyon & Healy  symmetrical 2-point design from the late 19-teens. A zero fret and a 1 1/4”/32mm nut. Satin lacquer finish.
