Perhaps the best known of the Australian waltzes is the Mudgee Waltz, that John Meredith collected by three different musicians, Cyril Abbott, George Davis and Fred Holland, around Mudgee NSW in the 1950s. This is probably closer to Fred Holland's than the others.
Under the Willow is a tune from John Warne of Crooked Corner, near Crookwell in NSW
The Bill Cooper's Waltz was collected by Rob Willis from Bill Cooper of Forbes, NSW
Ernie Wells was a musician from Wingham in northern NSW. Dave de Hugard recorded this Swing Waltz tune from him.
Ernie Goodman was from the Mudgee district of NSW and Ernie Goodman's Waltz was collected by John Meredith, and published in Vol 2 of Folk Songs of Australia.
The Orotaba Waltz comes from Charlie Batchelor, a fiddle player from Bingara in the New England district of NSW. This was collected by Chris Sullivan and Mark Rummery.
