More Varsovianas

Babes in the Wood is a common tune amongst the old-time dance musicians. This version is from Madge Everard of Corryong, Victoria, via Peter Ellis,

This one is also from Madge Everard and just called Madge Everard's Varsoviana.

Frank McNeice's Varsoviana is from Mr. Alan Semmens of Sedgwick in Victoria and again collected by Peter Ellis.

Dave de Hugard collected The Little River from Kathy Ditton, and that is all I know about it.

Mick Pilley of Mudgee was considered by John Meredith to be the best fiddler he met in the early days of collecting. This is Mick Pilley's Varsoviana.

Bill Gilbert was a musician from the NSW South Coast and John Meredith recorded these two tunes from him which for convenience we have called Bill Gilbert's Varsoviana No 1 and No 2.
