All of the old-time dance musicians would know a polka or two, used both for various polka dances or for figures of the quadrilles.

Bill Cooper was from the Forbes district of NSW, and Rob Willis collected Bill Cooper's Polka from him.

Rita Baker's Polka is from Mudgee, NSW, and collected by John Meredith.

The Conjewai Polka comes from the Hunter Valley of NSW.

Charlie Doran's Polka is another one from Mudgee, and collected by John Meredith

Frank Collins was a fiddle player from Goulburn, NSW whose tunes have come to us via several acetate disks recorded in the 1950s. This is Frank Collins 1st Polka.
